Franco Corso "My Italian Christmas"

Hailed as the most promising classical crossover artist working today, Franco Corso arrives at The Lyric Theatre this December for a night celebrating Christmas, Italian-style. Corso is known as the “Voice of Romance” by critics and audience members alike, celebrated for his ability to transition seamlessly between baritone and tenor tones. Inspired by Caruso, Pavarotti, and Bocelli, Franco Corso brings a taste of Italy to all of the holiday classics you know and love.

Born and raised in Ventimiglia on the Italian Riviera, Franco Corso has been passionate about music since he was six years old. As a member of his local church’s choir, Corso developed a unique and distinct vocal style in his home country of Italy before moving to Florida to make a name for himself in the United States. Performing for sold-out theatres, arenas, and concert halls throughout the state, the aspiring vocalist soon drew a large group of followers, impressed by his ability to perform traditional and contemporary pieces in a number of languages, including English, Italian, French, and Spanish. Notably, Franco Corso has performed for Donald Trump and his family at the famous Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach and performed for a sold-out audience at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston. Corso also ran a successful TV campaign on NBC and CBS, accompanied by Mike Renzi, Tony Bennett’s personal music director.

Franco Corso’s music has been showcased at a number of charity events in the United States, including WXEL’s Women with Wings and Wisdom as well as the Annual National Gala Event for the American Heart Association. Recently, in 2013, Corso released his first EP, featuring five of the vocalist’s original songs. The track “Angel” received widespread critical acclaim from fans and critics alike. For his performance at The Lyric Theatre this winter, Franco Corso will perform all of the most famous Christmas classics, infusing his Italian heritage and vocal style into every song.
