Toronto, ON – Canadian Stage today announced that single tickets for the 2013.2014 theatre season are now on sale, starting from $22 and available online at www.canadianstage.com or by phone at 416.368.3110. The company also shared new casting details for the season ahead. The much-anticipated original production of Venus in Fur, on stage at the Bluma Appel Theatre from September 29 to October 27, 2013 and directed by Jennifer Tarver, will star Dora Award-winner Rick Miller (MacHomer, Just for Laughs, Lipsynch) as Thomas and Carly Street (The Good Wife, various productions on Broadway and at The Stratford Festival) as Vanda.

“After ending the 2012.2013 season on a high note with another riveting work from choreographer Marie Chouinard, we shift our focus to the year ahead,” said Artistic & General Director Matthew Jocelyn. “We’re very proud and incredibly excited to welcome talented Canadian performers to our stage, and are particularly thrilled to present star actors Rick Miller and Carly Street in a brilliantly orchestrated showdown in Venus in Fur.”

Canadian Stage’s 2013.2014 season will open on September 22 with Quebec playwright Sarah Berthiaume’s The Flood Thereafter, directed by York University MFA program graduate Ker Wells, featuring Maggie Huculak, Courtney Ch’ng Lancaster, Kevin MacDonald and Patricia Marceau.
