Straight from the streets of Dublin, The 5 Irish Tenors combine the unforgettable charm of Irish wit with unparalleled operatic talent to create an unforgettable night of music. Starring five talented and unique tenor vocalists, The 5 Irish Tenors come to America for the first time ever, performing a collection of noted and beloved Irish songs as well as classic opera arias. From Verdi's "O Mio Rimorso" to "Danny Boy," The 5 Irish Tenors cross genres and span generations of audiences in a special tour specifically designed for North American audiences that follows in the footsteps of the great Irish tenor John McCormack.

The 5 Irish Tenors stars tenors David Martin, Morgan Crowley, Ciarán Kelly, Alan Leech, and George Hutton. Martin, described as possessing "a beautiful Italian Bel Canto quality" to his voice, studied and performed Leinster College of Music and Drama and has performed as lead tenor in a variety of productions, including The Lilly of Killarney and The Gypsy Baron. Recipient of the Luciano Pavarotti and John McCormack awards, tenor Morgan Crowley debuted at Covent Garden's Royal Opera House at the age of 20. Known as the "Mozart Irish Tenor," Ciarán Kelly is a graduate of the Royal Irish Academy of Music and is a member of the renowned chamber choir ‘Resurgam.’ A graduate of University College Cork, tenor Alan Leech has performed for President Barack Obama at the White House and was named tenor to the Irish National Chamber Choir in 2002. Finally, George Hutton has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, London and in Mozart’s Mass at the National Concert Hall, Dublin. Accompanying the five tenors is pianist, composer, and arranger Feargull Murray has been called “a marvelously sensitive pianist" by the UK Times and has composed an award winning musical adaptation for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

From "Will You Go Lassie Go" to Mozart's "Il Mio Tesoro," The 5 Irish Tenors will explore the history of music from traditional Irish songs to classic operatic pieces in various combinations from tenor solos, duets, trios, quartets, quintets and tutti. Well known in their home country of Ireland, the tenors now come to America for the first time ever. Don't miss this unique opportunity to hear the sounds of Ireland and more this season at The Lyric Theatre with The 5 Irish Tenors.
